Riley Strikes Again

By 9:30 this morning I was ready to call it a day. This morning while I was on the phone, Riley came up to me and actually told me she had to go potty. What?? Did I hear you right? This never happens! She's never even set her little tush on the potty chair. I was on a phone call I couldn't get off of, so I tried to be very excited while still on the phone and walked her to the bathroom. Of course, I should have known it had to be fluke, once we got there, she wasn't havin' it. Now THIS is the Riley I know. So I let her keep her diaper off thinking maybe she will change her mind. (When I'm enthralled in a phone call, sometimes I don't think clearly.) So 5 minutes go by and I walk in the office and Riley is standing on the desk, naked from the waist down mind you, and had peed all over the desk. And all of it's surroundings. At that moment is was time to end my phone conversation and deal with the mess. As I am carrying her dripping legs to the bathroom to clean her up in the tub, I find yet another mess. Shampoo bottle #2 had been squeezed all over in and around the tub. Now if you've read my previous post from yesterday, you'd see why this is so upsetting! This is the shampoo that I just bought yesterday, brand new, never been used, and is now completely empty. So now in addition to cleaning up the pee covered desk and Riley, I now have a tub FULL of shampoo to clean out. And no I don't have any pictures of my morning, this time is wasn't so cute.

Riley is a little stinker! That can be frustrating. Weston likes to dump all the shampoo out too. I have to keep it up now. Weston also likes to use about 15 squirts of hand soap when he washes his hands, I'm constantly buying soap.

Oh my goodness, how in the world will she react to "new little brother" when she isn't the focus anymore? You have really got your hands full with that one...at least it wasn't really expensive shampoo, or all over the carpet. Let's try to find some positive here. Good Luck!

Oh the joys of motherhood...... There are definitely days when we wonder what exactly we were thinking when we signed up for this job!! Hang in there. It will get easier. I know you are enjoying being a mom but it's also okay to have those days when you are frustrated. Good luck!!! You're doing a fantastic job!

My little girl stuck gum in her hair twice in one day...now she has a bald spot. Oh the joys!!

I hope Riley is feeling better!!!

Gotta love it, well not really but maybe one day we can look back on these moments and laugh! I swear kids always do the naughtiest things when we're on the phone, they just know we aren't paying complete attention to them. Think of it this way, she is just curious and that will be a good thing later on in life!
